So, the next question is, What are the key factors to moving this needle?\u00a0 This can be broken down into 2 categories:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-list\">\n<li>Existing Client Retention \u2013 keep all your existing clients and have them spend more<\/li>\n<li>New Client Acquisition \u2013 acquire new customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to have successes at either of these, you must present some sort of value and deliver this value in a way that your existing customers and potential new customer want to consume it.\u00a0 Regardless of your industry, whether this is a coffee company, law firm or lawn care service, by thinking ahead of your customers you will have greater success in achieving your marketing goals.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to keeping existing clients, you must anticipate their needs, meet these needs and exceed their expectations.\u00a0 This is far easier if you plan to do this, rather than being surprised and reacting.\u00a0 You can do this by understanding the <strong>Consumption Lifecycle.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purchasing Phase<\/strong> &#8211; Diffused Need -&gt; Focused Need -&gt;Purchase Decision<br \/>\n<strong>Ownership Phase<\/strong> \u2013 Confirmation -&gt; Identification -&gt; Gratification<br \/>\n<strong>Repurchase Phase<\/strong> \u2013 Indifference -&gt; Disenchantment -&gt; Receptive<\/p>\n<p>So, the key to keeping your existing customers is to reach them with a new, value-added proposition somewhere just before they reach the Disenchantment level and become Receptive to someone else\u2019s offering.\u00a0 Be sure to always have something new and engaging to disrupt the Indifference and move your clients back to the Ownership Phase of your relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some keys as to how to think ahead on a daily basis:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"post-list\">\n<li>Identify specifically for what you are planning<\/li>\n<li>Follow your intuition \u2013 you have a lot of hidden knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Filter your own personal bias \u2013 make sure to focus on your audience<\/li>\n<li>Visualize the worst-case scenario \u2013 what do you need to do to avoid this?<\/li>\n<li>Visualize the best-case scenario \u2013 what do you need to do to make this happen?<\/li>\n<li>Prepare \u2013 be ready for the opportunity<\/li>\n<li>Try It \u2013 begin doing this on a trial basis to test the results<\/li>\n<li>Adjust \u2013 continue to evolve to increase results<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHow to use this Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Using the Consumption Lifecycle<\/p>\n<ol class=\"post-list\">\n<li>Identify how your customers may relate to each of these different phases.<\/li>\n<li>Identify what you are currently doing or should be doing to interject new life and value into your customer relationships when they reach the Indifference Phase<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Follow the steps and get used to always thinking ahead of your customers and all situations in your life.<\/p>\n<p>If you could use some help with your marketing or want to discuss ideas on how you can ensure you are always thinking ahead and adding value at the right time in your customer relationships, please give Webolutions a call at 303-300-2640.
